Synopsis of documentary film "A Man Called Brian":
This documentary is about a 55 year-old Briton called Brian Haw who has left his home, his wife and seven children in the south of England and has come to London to stage a 24-hour sit-in opposite the House of Parliament for more than ten years in protest against the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan by the US and British military forces. In this film, he argues that because the war ends in deaths of thousands of people, it should stop.
A man called Brian is a 40 minutes documentary film.
Written, Produced and Directed by Mahmoud Shoolizadeh. 2005. Shooting was done in London during the ongoing huge anti-war protests. In order for the film director to concentrate on the meaning of his message, he concentrated on a man called Brian who has sit-in in front of the Houses of Parliament which lasted more than a decade and ended with his death.
